ABOUT ME
I am Dr. Jose Feneque, a small animal veterinarian with more than 25 years of experience in the veterinary medicine and pet-related industry. I am licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the states of Georgia and Florida and am a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
My special interests include veterinary pediatrics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and the medical applications of nanotechnology in the veterinary field. I graduated in 1991 from The University Of Puerto Rico (Mayaguez Campus) with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Industry. In 1996, I obtained my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
After graduation, I worked for about eight years as a veterinary associate at a small animal hospital in Miami, Florida. During this time, I also served on the Science Advisory Board for The Nanotechnology Development Corporation from 2004 to 2006. From 2007 to 2017, I was co-owner and medical director of the Veterinary Medical Center of Clayton in Forest Park, Georgia. In addition to my duties as a hospital owner and veterinarian, I was also responsible for managing the hospital’s social media content creation and promotion.
Today, I provide services as a relief veterinarian for several animal hospitals in the Atlanta area and two vaccine clinic companies. In addition, I am an avid content creator, and I manage a subscription-based project known as the Veterinary Channel TV. Through this project, I provide informative videos on various topics related to veterinary medicine, animal care, and pet ownership.
My Mission
During the last years of my career as a veterinarian, I decided to provide support and guidance to veterinary students from underdeveloped countries. I help students with tuition costs, books, and, on certain occasions, training opportunities in their own countries or online from universities in the United States. To accomplish this goal, I use the proceeds obtained from the ads on my YouTube videos and the subscriptions from Veterinary Channel TV. I had to confess that I use the money from my own pockets most of the time to accomplish these goals.
Subscription Options
For the time being, all my content is available for free.
If you decide to sign up for a paid subscription, all income generated will go towards helping veterinary students in poor and underdeveloped countries.
Cordially,
